Today, we’re launching commacare, **an extended warranty option for comma four**. With commacare, your comma four has up to two full years of warranty coverage.

commacare is included with a [comma prime](https://comma.ai/connect) subscription.

- **$24/mo comma prime now includes commacare for no additional charge**, alongside always-on LTE and one year of cloud storage.
- prime lite includes commacare too, and is increasing from $10/mo to $14/mo.

Extend your comma four’s warranty up to an additional year in 3 easy steps:

1. Buy a comma four at [comma.ai/shop](https://comma.ai/shop)
2. Pair your comma four with [comma connect](https://comma.ai/connect)
3. Sign up for comma prime or prime lite within 30 days of delivery (using your free prime trial!)

**Already have a comma four?** It’s eligible for commacare if you sign up before June 18, 2026.

***I already have a comma prime subscription.*** Congrats, you’re already covered by commacare!

***I already have a prime lite subscription at $10/mo.*** Your subscription price will not increase and will stay at $10/mo until it’s cancelled.

***Does commacare cover theft, loss, or accidental damage?*** No, commacare simply extends the duration of the comma four’s included warranty.

***My comma four was delivered more than 30 days ago.*** All comma four are eligible for commacare for 30 days after this announcement (June 18, 2026).

***I have a comma two/three/3X.*** We are not currently offering commacare for those devices, but we will continue to offer [trade-ins](https://comma.ai/shop/comma-four?trade-in=1) and [repair services](https://comma.ai/shop/comma-3x-out-of-warranty-repair).

***Is commacare offered outside of comma prime?*** No, commacare is only offered through comma prime.
