You no longer need to be in a workspace to [self-host orbs](https://ampcode.com/news/self-hosted-orbs). Up until now, only workspace admins could manage self-hosted orb providers.

Now, you can add a provider in your personal [Settings → Orbs](https://ampcode.com/settings/orbs) and set it up [the same way as a workspace provider](https://ampcode.com/docs/orbs/self-hosted#set-up-a-provider). When you create a thread, it shows up under **Self-Hosted**, marked **Personal**.
